Samantha Jean Delessio was born on November 7, 1993 to parents Melissa James and Raymond James. Being almost 7 weeks premature her parents were told not to worry when she didn't reach the milestones most children did. At 18 months old she was diagnosed with Quad-Spastic Cerebral Palsy. Until the age of 9 Samantha was confined to a wheelchair, from there she moved up step by step to the next piece of equipment offered to her, determined not to let her disability control her. At age 16, Samantha became engaged to childhood friend and long time crush Christopher Delessio. Shortly after the engagement Samantha became pregnant with Delessio's child. Eight weeks into Samantha's pregnancy, Delessio was killed in a drunk driving accident while driving her home from a doctor's appointment. Shortly after Delessio's death and fell into a deep depression and secluded herself from others. At the start of the new school year, determined to save her daughter before she self destructed Samantha's mother enrolled her in west brooke highschool. Now 5 months pregnant she must start over and move past Delessio's death and find love with another.
