Confessions of a Broken Heart

[Angela Michaels]

Angel was getting ready to go visit her mother at Woodland Hills Rehab Center. She really didn't want to go, all her mother did was hurt her. As far as she was concerned Rebecca was her mother. She looked up and saw her father in her doorway. "Daddy..." Angel whined, her Texan accent strong. "Do we have to go see her?"

Shawn sighed softly and said "Yes honey, she's your mother."

"My mother," Angel replied is in the stables with Cameron and Cheyenne."

"Angel honey i know you don't like it but she's your biological mother and it only for a hour." said Shawn.

Angel sighed and grabbed her notebook and a pencil. At least she'd have her music with her. "It's not like she cares," Angel muttered.

Shawn sighed, it sometimes seemed like that was true but he had to take Angel to see her mother.

Angel pulled on her boots with a sigh and walked over to him. "Let's get this over with," Angel said.

Shawn nodded and they left, they soon arrived at the Woodland Hills Rehab Center.

Angel stared at the building knowing she'd be in tears by the time she left it.

"Lets go in hon and get it over with." said Shawn as he wrapped his arm around her.

Angel nodded staring at her feet. "Stay with me?" Angel asked, pleadingly.

"Of course hon." said Shawn as they walked in.

Angel signed herself in to the visitor log and headed toward her mother's room.

Shawn followed her, he hoped Teresa wouldn't start a fight again.

Angel walked into the room and looked at her mother. "Well hello there Angela, long time no see," Teresa faked a smile. She noticed the notebook in Angel's hand. "You're still writin' then silly songs of you?" she asked. "I don't told you it ain't gonna get you no where." "It's what I love," Angel answered. "Y'know, like you used to love us?" she added with a growl.

"Angel." said Shawn firmly, he didn't want them fighting here.

"It's true!" protested Angel. "She threw us away just to get a damn fix!" Angel was rarely one to curse, only when she was very angry.

"Angela." said Shawn "I know your upset but please not here."

[Angela Michaels]

"Yes sir," Angel said softly. She hated that name, purely because Teresa had given it to her. Teresa looked up at Shawn. She shook her head. "Way to play concerned father Michael."

Shawn glared at Teresa "Well at least i'm here for her and take care of her, you won't even try to get clean."

"What the hell do you think I'm trying to do here?!" Teresa asked. "I sure as hell ain't here for fun!" Angel glared. "Daddy, I'm leaving, I'm not gonna sit here and listen to her talk to you like that."

"Angel honey go wait for me in the car, i'll be out in a minute." said Shawn.

Angel nodded. "Yes sir," Angel replied. Teresa rolled her eyes. Just you wait, he's gonna walk out on you just like he did me before you were born." Angel bit her lip and walked to the car. She was trying not to cry.

Shawn growled softly "Teresa that was uncalled for , why do you do this every time?" he asked angerly.

Teresa shrugged. "You took her from me."
