Daddy's Little Girl

Becca sighed as she rocked Cheyenne in her arms as they waited for Shawn to return home. Cheyenne had been running a fever for a few days now, but due to the low readings they'd been getting when they took her temperature, Becca and Shawn opted to keep her home until it became a more serious matter. Now it was, Cheyenne's fever had spiked into a dangerous 103.2 and she was currently refusing to be taken to the hospital until Shawn got home.

Shawn sighed as he finally got home "Becca." he called as he walked in.

"In the living room Shawn!" Becca called, rocking Cheyenne in the rocking chair.

Shawn walked into the living room "How is she?" he asked.

Becca shook her head. "It's getting worse Shawn," Becca said softly. Cheyenne looked up at Shawn and whined.

Shawn nodded "Alright i'm taking her to the hospital." he said.

Cheyenne weakly shook her head. "No daddy......." Cheyenne whined. "Don't wanna..."

"Cheyenne you need to go." said Shawn softly as he picked her up.

Cheyenne squirmed in her father's arms. "No daddy...." Cheyenne whined again. "Lemme go....."

"No Cheyenne." said Shawn "You need to go."

"Momma...." Cheyenne whined. "Tell him, tell him not to take me there!" Becca sighed. "Chey, your daddy's right, you need to go honey. Cheyenne continued to squirm, desperate to break free from her father's grip.

"Cheyenne Michelle Michaels you need to go and your going." said Shawn firmly

Cheyenne pouted, her bottom lip jutting out. "Meanie," Cheyenne muttered.

Shawn sighed but went to the car, and put her in her seat.

Cheyenne paused and stopped fighting for a minute. "Daddy....I want my teddy," Cheyenne said.

Shawn sighed and called for Becca to being Cheyenne's bear.

Becca nodded and headed back into the house, going after the bear and bringing Cameron and Angel with her.

Shawn handed Cheyenne her bear and got ready to leave.

Cheyenne clung tightly to her bear. She didn't want to go, but she didn't have the energy to fight anymore. She had to save it for when they got there.

Shawn sighed as they arrived at the hospital, after he parked he got Cheyenne out of the car.

"Daddy...." whimpered Cheyenne. "I'm scared, I wanna go home....."

Shawn shook his head "Sorry little one but you have to go."

Cheyenne started to shake. "Daddy.......please don't make me, it's scary in there....."

"Little one its going to be fine i'll be with you the whole time." said Shawn softly.

"Daddy promise?" Cheyenne asked, her big blue eyes looking up at him hopefully.
