Melissa sighed softly. "Brett," Melissa began. "I was young and stupid, when I found out Sammy had QSCP I didn't really know what that meant for us and I was terrified that you would get it too if you stayed near her and I didn't think I could handle raising two children with special needs," she said. "at the time I thought I was protecting you."

Samantha smiled at him before she spoke. "Brett, I've been thinking, about what you said earlier when you said you felt like you didn't belong there," Samantha said. "You don't have to go back there if you don't want to."

Melissa nodded. "She's right honey, you can stay here or you can go stay with your sister and Jeff, lord knows they need help with the baby," she chuckled.
