Samantha sighed when the alarm clock went off that morning. They had to have Hailey at Saving Grace Memorial Hospital in 3 hours. She'd set the alarm early enough so that they'd have time to get ready and still have plenty of time to calm Hailey down. She knew Hailey understood what today was,and what they were going to do, and she knew the young child was terrified, she had been too when she was Hailey's age. She stretched and rolled over, shaking Jeff gently. "Baby, wake up."

Samantha got up and gabbed a shirt and some jeans and changed quickly, pulling her hair up in a ponytail. She could tell Hailey was still sleeping when she heard the soft snores from the baby monitor they kept in her room and theirs.
